Privacy Policy
Effective June 1, 2026 · Updated September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the FaithPulse mobile app and faithpulse.com collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built FaithPulse to handle the life of faith with care — that includes how we treat your data.
FaithPulse is a tool for spiritual formation, not medical, psychological, legal, or professional counseling. In a crisis, contact your local emergency number or, in the U.S., dial or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and reach out to your pastor.
Information We Collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and the authentication identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google when you create an account.
- Profile & preferences — language, where you are in your walk, growth focus, and notification settings.
- Content you create — journal entries, prayer requests, notes, highlights, Pulse Check reflections, sermon imports, and group activity. Some of this is private to you; some is shared with your group by your choice.
- Spiritual Vitality Score (SVS™) — activity-derived signals across Word, Walk, and Witness used to compute your score and your group’s shared pulse.
- Usage & device data — app interactions, diagnostics, and device/OS information used to operate and improve the service.
- Purchases — subscription status (processed by Apple and our payments provider; we do not receive your full payment card details).
- Email list — if you subscribe to This Week Traced on faithpulse.com, your email address, the page you signed up from, and when you confirmed or unsubscribed. We use it only to send that email. You are added only after you confirm, and every issue has a one-click unsubscribe.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the app — compute your SVS, sync your groups and gatherings, and deliver the Shepherd, Pulse Check, and your daily rhythm.
- To communicate with you about your account and product updates.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
AI Processing
Some features — the Shepherd, sermon analysis, Gospel Clarity™, and Pulse Check — send the relevant content to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. This content is processed to serve you and is not sold. We treat journal, prayer, and reflective content as sensitive and minimize what is shared.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run FaithPulse, under contract:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, hosting, and messaging.
- Anthropic — AI processing for the features described above.
- Resend — delivers our email, such as receipts, subscription confirmations and This Week Traced.
- Apple and our subscription provider — payments and app distribution.
- Your group — content you choose to post to a household, circle, or church connect is visible to that group’s members by design.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app, or by emailing [email protected]. We will delete or de-identify your data except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
Children & Families
FaithPulse includes household features that a parent may use to include a minor. FaithPulse is not directed to children under 13 without parental involvement, and we rely on the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian for any minor in a household.
Your Choices & Rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
